Based in Scotland, the friendly and
welcoming Eastwood Photographic Society, was formed over sixty
years ago. With an active membership and a wide age range of
members, the camera club caters for both beginners and more
experienced photographers. In common with other clubs most members
now shoot digitally, but not exclusively.
The club meets on Wednesday evenings in Albertslund
Hall, Westacres Road, Newton Mearns, on the south side of
Glasgow. Members also organise digital tutorial evenings once
a month on Tuesdays to expand knowledge of this medium. Our
photo club has its own digital equipment and is grateful for
the support of the Lottery Fund and East Renfrewshire Council.
A varied syllabus
is enjoyed and highlights this coming year include our second
international digital competition with Victoria Camera Club
in Canada, a print exhibition in the new Eastwood Park Theatre
and a visit from well known landscape photographer Duncan McEwan.
The club has its own internal newsletter
to keep members up to date and print displays are held in local
venues during the Summer.
New members are always made welcome at any time. Have a look
at the rest of the website and feel free to make contact
for more information. |
